This year marked the first time when schools from Estonia, more precisely from the ancient seaside capital Tallinn, also took part in the competition. And with what involvement! As far as the number of schools is concerned, this country has had the richest representation of all participating 21 countries so far (except Slovakia). We appreciate the excellent co-operation with the local education department in Tallinn that addressed several kindergartens as well as teachers. That is why we were very pleased to find out that the expert jury chose 7 artworks to be exhibited in the facilities of the Rye Island Museum and one child to be awarded - Julia Gallat, who travelled a distance of 1350 km together with her mother to accept the prize and be part of the vernissage that will one day surely be remembered by her as a unique experience.
